Trials of Arcane

• Run jump and shoot your way through various trials.
• Complete trials to obtain different spells.
• Succeed in all the trials to prove your worth as a mage.

Join the aspiring mage Maria as she strives to overcome 3 different trials to prove her worth. Each trial tests a different aspect a mage should strive to be and rewards a different spell depending on the level completed.

The Lightning level rewards quick thinking and reactiveness in an obstacle course where you must avoid enemies, obstacles and avoid falling to your death from stone pillars in a lightning storm. Completing the Lightning Trial awards you with the Shock Spell, which you can use to do a moderate amount of damage from a moderate range.

The Ice level rewards determination as you must explore a dark icy cave, position yourself well in steep icy terrain and defeat all of the Ice golems patrolling the cave. Completing the Ice Trial will award you with the Ice Shot spell, which is a long range low damage spell that shoots an icicle across the map.

 
The Fire level rewards strength as you fight against a fiery demon boss that relentlessly pursues you with an onslaught of fireballs, avoid the boss's attacks and chip down their health to prove your strength. Completing the Fire Trial will award you with the Fireball Spell, this spell has a short range, but high explosive power.

Complete all three of these challenges to prove your worth and get certified as an Archmage. Each spell will allow you to unlock another gate in the Hub, bringing you closer and closer to your goal of your Archmage certification.

Note for players: Read the Readme for further details about controls and saving. Keyboard controls are enabled as well but not directly listed in the controls section of the menu. They are further detailed in the ReadMe, as are details about saving and clearing your save if you want to delete your save and start over.
